Help with the Fall Clean-up of the gardens and trails at the EL Johnson Nature Center Volunteer Opportunity Saturday, November 6, 2021 ( 9am - 12 pm) Every other Tuesday, Spring, Summer, Fall (9am - 12pm) to be announced Johnson Nature Center, Bloomfield Hills, coordinates a volunteer program entitled "Stewards of the Land." Opportunities exist for groups or individuals to participate in a variety of outdoor projects ranging from invasive species removal to planting native forbs, shrubs and trees, mulching trails, clearing brush, etc. Most major work sessions are held in the fall and the spring, typically on Saturdays from 9:00 am until noon. Master Gardeners earn service hours. Volunteer Information Sign-up Here To volunteer please contact the nature center in advance to find out what projects are scheduled on a given date. This allows the Nature Center to efficiently plan the workforce. Volunteers might wish to bring a pair of work gloves, although some well-used ones are available.
