Native Plants for the Urban Landscape
Presented by Ruth Vrbensky
Have you been introduced to native plants, but fear of the unknown has prevented you from planting them in your garden? Some natives can get pretty tall, and some are downright aggressive!
Have no fear!
Ruth will share with you the wonders of native plants and a selection of some of the best to use in a home, community or school yard garden. She will even touch on her favorite tips for fall cleanup.
The public is welcome and encouraged to attend this free North Oakland Wild Ones event. Donations are always welcome to help bring future educational opportunities! A printable flyer is available for distribution here. Doors open at 7, and the presentation starts at 7:30.
